Considering a featherbed mattress topper?
If so, you have found the right article because I have important news to share.
My research team has gathered information from over 475 featherbed owners. Below, I provide our research results related to comfort, price and durability / longevity.
Comfort
According to our research, the vast majority of owners (92%) say that their featherbed improves the comfort of their mattress. Four percent of owners say that the topper made no difference in comfort, and 3% indicated that the product was not comfortable.
Ten percent of owners say that their featherbed has allowed them to sleep better or longer. Six percent say that their topper has helped to alleviate pain, such as back pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, and arthritis.
Owners often compared sleeping on their featherbed to "sleeping on a cloud," and the words "cozy," "soft" and "fluffy" were typically used. Those who indicated that the featherbed results in no difference in comfort often described the topper as being "too thin" and that it lost its fluffiness when lied upon.
Price
Most owners in our research paid - 0 for their featherbed. The average cost was about . Within this -0 price range, owner satisfaction was steady. In other words, the data suggests that paying more for a featherbed does not tend to provide additional comfort, better sleep, etc. However, paying below does often result in below average customer satisfaction.
Durability / Longevity
Most owners were satisfied with how long their featherbed lasts and how well it stands up to regular use. The life expectancy of the topper is likely at least four years. This longevity is at least somewhat superior to other popular types of mattress toppers, namely memory foam and fiber/pillow, based on our related research.
